Every place has a story.

Cities are constantly changing. Streets, buildings and public spaces reveal how people have shaped their surroundings over time. Through guided exploration, observation, discussion and creative activities, students investigate the architecture, design and everyday environments that help define Amsterdam.

As they move through different parts of the city, students explore how spaces are used, how they have changed and what they reveal about the people who live there. Along the way they collect photographs, sketches, observations and ideas that become the starting point for the second stage of the experience.

Students then curate their own Amsterdam Through My Eyes map, using photographs, sketches, observations and creative responses gathered throughout the experience. The finished map becomes a personal exploration of the spaces, places and ideas that stood out to them, drawing inspiration from the city around them.

Experiences can be tailored to different themes, locations and curriculum areas, helping students explore the connections between people, places and stories
