An unexpected question. An interruption. A change of direction. How do you give yourself time to think and respond to what’s happening?
Think on Your Feet is a practical workshop for professionals who need to communicate when they cannot prepare every response — in meetings, client conversations, questions after a presentation or everyday exchanges with colleagues.
The workshop focuses on four connected principles: listen, respond, adapt and refocus. Participants practise identifying what is being asked, creating thinking space, adjusting to new information and finding their thread after an interruption.
Drawing on our experience as actors and educators, we explore how listening, breath, pause and attention can help us make deliberate choices in the moment. Participants try different approaches, receive feedback and put adjustments into practice.

Participants work on:
-
listening closely and checking assumptions before responding
-
using breath and pause to create thinking space and answer clearly
-
adapting an explanation or approach when new information changes what is needed
-
recovering after interruptions, misunderstandings or losing their train of thought
Built around your workplace
We shape the workshop around the conversations your participants actually need to handle. That might mean answering unexpected questions, responding to clients, adjusting a project update or finding a way forward when a meeting changes direction.
