Cities are full of stories. Through guided exploration, observation, discussion and creative activities, students investigate the people, places and perspectives that shape Amsterdam. Along the way, they explore how different people experience the same environment, how places change over time, and what streets, buildings and public spaces reveal about the communities around them.

As they move through different parts of Amsterdam, students collect photographs, observations, quotations, sketches and ideas, discovering different viewpoints and stories connected to the places they visit. These become the starting point for the second stage of the experience, where students create their own Amsterdam Through My Eyes map as a personal response to the people, places and perspectives they encounter along the way.

Along the way, students develop observation, communication and critical thinking skills as they explore different perspectives, make connections and reflect on their own experiences.
